This unique art class teaches students how to create original artwork specifically designed for sellable products. Whether it’s for apparel, home goods, stationery, or digital merchandise, students will learn how to turn their creative ideas into market-ready designs. Through hands-on projects, students explore both traditional and digital art techniques while learning how to adapt their work for various products such as t-shirts, mugs, prints, tote bags, stickers, and more. The class also covers essential skills like composition, color theory, and layout — all with a focus on product application. n addition to art-making, students are introduced to basic concepts of branding, product mockups, and how to prepare artwork for printing and production. By the end of the course, each student will have a mini collection of designs ready for use on real-world products and a solid understanding of how to creatively enter the world of art-based merchandise.
